Happy Thanksgiving

Wesley Matthew is 8 weeks old!

I can't believe that he is already 8 weeks. He is starting to coo and smile. He is also so alert...looking around and checking out everything.

Wesley is also beginning to find his hands and starting to grab at things.

Katherine is a wonderful big sister. She is a great helper and loves her little brother.

I am healing up great from my umbilical hernia surgery and feeling stronger all of the time. I am looking forward to being off all weight restrictions FINALLY and getting ACTIVE AGAIN!

We miss Matt so much but he is doing great and working hard. We can't wait for January when we can go and visit him in GA.

Katherine had so much fun playing on her slide in the living room.

Bundled up and ready to go!

Katherine pulled up her chair and decided Grandpa should share his supper with her. This is after she had already had her own. Although this time all she really wanted was his olives!!

Wesley's 1st Thanksgiving

SO serious!

Trying out his new car seat...my little elephant.
As you can see he wasn't very excited about this!
Cuddled up in a blanket and stretched out on the floor are two of Wesley's favorite places to be.

This year we have so much to be thankful for that it is hard to know where to begin: A healthy baby boy; a beautiful little girl; Matt's new job; a wonderful, supportive family and friends....the list could go on forever.
It has been great to be back in Minnesota while I recover.
We miss you so much Matt/Daddy.
Love you lots!
Happy Thanksgiving.
We are so blessed!

Grandpa Bob

So I was reading through the blog of our life over the last month and realized that I don't have pictures of when my dad...aka Grandpa Bob was here. So I looked back and then only pic I took the whole week he was here is the following when Katherine and Grandma were playing hairstylist. For those of you that don't know my family very well this is a long standing tradition in the Summer family. Heather and I were so lucky to have a dad with longer hair thus allowing us to play hairstylist with him. I can remember braiding it and I am sure there are many pics of all our lovely styles we put him through. So it is only natural for Katherine to follow in our footsteps.

Sorry Dad that I didn't get more pictures when you were here. I do have to tell you how much I appreciate all you did while you were out here. As well as all you have done and continue to do my entire life. Thank you for being willing to share Mom with me for two months. Thank you for coming out and helping. It was so wonderful to have you here. Your endless support and encouragement....as well as worrying about me has made so many things possible for me. I don't know that I would be where I am today if it weren't for you and all of your support. You have given me the support and confidence I need. Plus I always know that you will handle the worrying department so I might as well go for it!!
It was wonderful to have you out here. Katherine loves to play with you and still talks about things you did together. Plus I will be forever thankful for your teaching as to what cheetos and coke are!! ha ha. In the grocery store she always points them out and identifies them as yours and hers. Now I know you are being to explore a whole new world of the land of boys with little Wesley. But I am confident that you are going to be great. We love you so much! Thank you for all you do and are in our lives. Let's make sure we get some pictures when we are home in Mn. No more avoiding the camera. Now don't be mad....but I had to post the one shot that I did have. I think it is cute.
Look out Heather....I think your niece is going to give some competition.
Love you Dad! Love you Grandpa! See you soon!!

This is a picture of me and my daddy. I love this pic. It is so precious to me. Love you Dad!

Grandpa Scott and Auntie Anne come to visit!

4 weeks old!

Grandpa Scott and Auntie Annie came to visit this week. We had so much fun carving pumpkins, making cupcakes, shopping and playing. I think Katherine kept them both very busy! Thank you for all your help with everything. We really loved having you both here. Thank you for all of the presents too! You are the best!
Love you!
Can you believe that Wesley is 4 weeks old already?? He is doing great and getting so big.

Maybe all Katherine's moves don't come from Mommy-

We love you Grandpa Scott!

Happy Halloween!!

Little Horsey Wesley is all set for trick or treating.

Katherine the cowgirl!

Giddy up Horsey! Time to go trick or treating.
Thank you so much MyU and Heather for making me my cute cowgirl outfit!

We took the kids to the high school for Harvest Night. All of the classroom doors are decorated and the kids can go trick or treating to each door. We have taken Katherine there for the last two years. Last year she had a blast and was running all over the place. This year we walked in and there was an adult standing near the door in a gorilla costume and she FREAKED OUT. She didn't want to walk anywhere and was terrified the whole time. We still managed to make it through the school and she got some candy. But I am not sure how much she enjoyed the whole experience.
