In a blink..it was the end of July...and time to say Good-bye

It is hard to believe that Grandma and Grandpa were here for a whole month.

Thank you for all of the hard work, fun, and time together!

This view brought back memories of years following Mom and Dad down the road with Heather next to me.  We would be jamming to the latest boy band...singing at the top of our lungs!

T-Ball

This July we also played T-ball for the first time.
Grandma Sue even got to be our assistant coach!
We loved t-ball.
Grandpa Scott would have been proud of our hustle and aggressive playing in the outfield.
We really had a lot of fun!
Here are some pictures of our season:

love this picture...Katherine is totally in the air!  She is so fast!

We play hard and are not afraid of a little dirt!

Great season Blue Team!!

Happy 6th Birthday Katherine!

I can hardly believe it still as I type it.
Katherine is 6 years old!
She is growing up so fast.  (When people say it happens in a blink...it never seemed true...till now.)  She is going to starting 1st grade next week.
Katherine is an amazing, sweet girl.  She is so talented.
Last week at the fair, she and one of her friends were walking around the fair together as I ran behind to try and keep up with them.  I stopped for a moment and watched her.
So confident and full of life...she truly sparkles.
I remember myself and how awkward I was.
She has the world at her fingertips and Jesus in her heart.
We are so blessed with this little angel!
Love you so much Katherine Susan!
Happy Birthday!
 The cake!
I am so excited at how well it turned out and for the first time...no tears...no stress...it just all came together!  Thank you Mom for keeping me calm and collected....and helping so I could focus!
This was Katherine's design.

 Face painting by Grandma Sue.

This was the shaving cream game! Lots of fun.
 Grandpa Bob and Evangeline

Back to the shaving cream toss game.

 All the friends!
It was a beautiful day filled with family, friends, and lots of fun!
 My beautiful girl!
This is sweet Sierra who gave Katherine her first belt buckle for her birthday.  Katherine was so excited she would put it down.  Sierra is an incredible girl!
We are so thankful to have her in our lives!
Katherine wore her buckle at the fair...she looked so cute!
Sorry I didn't get a picture.
Even Holly got a new outfit!
Here she is going for a ride.  Katherine teaches her all of the things she learns at her lessons with Sierra.
Katherine's dear friend Ava had a sleepover with Katherine on her birthday.  Once the girls fell asleep they didn't move all night.  They were exhausted.  I love Wesley's face in this picture.  Not sure he wants to share his sissy!

My sweet tenderhearted Wesley truly adores his sister.
About three weeks before Katherine's birthday, she found a baby in Walmart that she HAD to have.
Anyone that knows Katherine knows she has about 20 babies.  I will say she is a little mother for sure and does play with them.  She is either playing house or daycare or school and all of the children are always present and lined up.
But another baby.......I said "No".
So everytime I would ask her what she wanted for her birthday, she would say the baby that she loves.  I would say no...think of something else.
So this went on for sometime.
Well one day, Wesley goes to Grandpa Bob and says that he really wants to by Katherine her baby for her birthday and surprise her.
His cuteness of course won the support and funding of Grandpa Bob.
So one day a week before the party we were all at Walmart.  Grandma and Wesley managed to sneak over and by the doll and get it to the car without Katherine knowing.
Wesley (3 yr old) kept it a secret.  Even when she was wishing and begging for this baby.  He would just look at me and smile with a twinkle in his eye.
I am so happy that I was able to catch the opening of the gift at the party.  These pictures truly say it all.  After Katherine had opened all of her other gifts, Grandpa and Wesley brought out the package.
It was so precious.  Check out the pics below:

So proud...and loves his big sissy so much!
Matt and I are so blessed with children with big hearts!

Happy Birthday Katherine Susan!!
